The most frequently asked questions I get!

Yes, I do! I work Monday–Friday for a township. I do reception, sketch homes, and handle data entry. So I definitely stay busy!
On top of my regular 8-hour workdays, keeping up with my job as a pig mom and as an influencer has honestly started to feel like a second job. There’s a LOT that goes on behind the scenes that people don’t always see. I absolutely love what I do online, and my hope is that one day @belles_pigs & Pink Potato Club can become my full-time-job!

No, my piggies all have their own setups! I have my 5 sows in a 2×7 C&C cage from Kavee and all of my boars live in 2×4 C&C cages. Unfortunelty all my boys hate each other and do not get along therefore they have to live separately, but rest assured they are all next to each other and get to interact with one another!

I actually have a full breakdown of guinea pig expenses in my Ultimate Guinea Pig Care Guide, which you can find in my shop if you want all the details.
For 9 guinea pigs, the estimated ongoing cost is around $340-$500 per month, or roughly $5,400–$7,800+ per year. That includes things like:
Fresh vegetables: ~$135–$200/month
Hay: ~$30/month
Pellets: ~$45/month
Bedding/laundry: ~$45/month
Vet care & wellness expenses: varies and can add up quickly
And that's just the ongoing care — getting everything set up in the first place is another expense. A 9-pig setup can cost around $700–$1,400+ upfront depending on the enclosure, hides, supplies, and everything else you choose.
And of course, emergencies aren't included in those numbers. Guinea pigs are exotic pets, so unexpected vet bills can get expensive FAST.

Honestly, guinea pigs are basically little potatoes with legs! They’re round, fluffy, and usually just sitting around eating, so the name kind of stuck. And I’m definitely not the only one—a lot of guinea pig owners call their piggies “potatoes” too!

Yes! Besides my potatoes, we have 2 diamond doves and 12 chickens!

It all started after Maple, my first guinea pig, passed away. After losing her, I randomly decided in December 2025 to make an Instagram account and post a picture of my guinea pigs. I honestly had no idea what I was doing and never expected anything to come from it.
But somehow, that little random post turned into @belles_pigs, and it completely blew up! What started as me simply sharing pictures of my potatoes has turned into a huge community, millions of views, brand collaborations, and something that has become a huge part of my life.
I never set out to become a pigfluencer… it just kind of happened! And now I’m hoping I can eventually make this my full-time job.
